“Free” is a word that people generally enjoy hearing, but it is favored more when combined with “food.” Fortunately for the Kutztown community, the local SUBWAY® Restaurant, located on 278 W. Main Street, will offer free breakfast sandwiches during the week of May 13 – 19.
Customers must register online at getyourfreebreakfast.com between April 22 and May 18 to reserve their breakfast. The Web site will require customers to choose a location of participating SUBWAY® restaurants, select a scheduled time and date, select the 3-inch flat bread sandwich of his or her choice and fill out a simple form.
“When I first heard about the free breakfast, I thought it was a scam. But I checked out the website and realized they weren’t joking,” stated Lindsey Zellner, a Communication Design major. “It’s honestly perfect timing because the promotion is during finals week, and who would deny free food then?”
The free breakfast sandwich choices include Bacon, Egg & Cheese; Black Forest Ham, Egg & Cheese; Breakfast B.M.T.® Melt; Egg & Cheese; Steak, Egg & Cheese; and Sunrise Subway Melt®. An egg white option is also available for all flat bread sandwiches.
“In terms of the food, I never thought of Subway as a breakfast place, but I was very impressed by the quality and the variety of their breakfast sandwiches,” stated A.J. Simmons, a junior Professional Writing major, who enjoyed the Black Forest Ham, Egg & Cheese as well as the Breakfast B.M.T.® Melt.
In addition to a sandwich, breakfast samplings include a small Seattle’s Best Coffee®.
Other participating Pennsylvania county SUBWAY® restaurants are Adams, Bedford, Berks, Blair, Cambria, Cameron, Centre, Clearfield, Cumberland, Dauphin, Elk, Franklin, Huntingdon, Jefferson, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Mifflin, Perry, Somerset and York.
For more information, students can call the local SUBWAY® restaurant at (610) 683-5850.
