On Oct. 20, the English Department announced the 2026 English Honors, Awards and Scholarships. All submissions are due by Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, and should be submitted to Dr. Pytleski (pytleski@kutztown.edu or Old Main 428).
The awards are presented to English students in the department and recognize achievements in fiction, poetry, literary criticism, news writing and more.
Faculty-chosen awards and scholarships require no application. One such is the Hearst Scholarship, which is given to an English or Professional Writing major who has a 3.5 GPA, has earned 96 credits and is a continuing student.
The award ceremony commemorating the recipients will be held on April 20, 2026.
