Sweep secured at Keystone Arena

On Wednesday, Feb. 11, at Keystone Arena, both the men’s and women’s KU basketball teams earned victories over Shippensburg University, marking their first doubleheader sweep of the spring 2026 semester.
With 175 people in attendance, the men’s KU Basketball team secured a hard-fought 72–66 win over Shippensburg. KU’s senior forward Jordon Nkoa Abessolo (#34) achieved a double-double and led the game with 15 points, 10 rebounds and two steals.
The KU women’s basketball team followed with a 55-47 victory over Shippensburg in a game attended by 162 fans. Coming back from being down double-digits by the end of the first half of a competitive matchup, KU secured the win in the second half. KU’s senior guard Danae Ellzy (#1) scored a game-high of 12 points and had one steal and one assist.
KU returns to Keystone Arena on Wednesday, Feb. 18, for another doubleheader against Millersville University. The women’s game is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men’s game at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available online.
