Over 200 organizations available on campus

KU’s Office of Student Involvement hosted its annual Involvement Fair on Sept. 3, giving students a chance to explore the university’s clubs and organizations. The fair, held from 4 to 7 p.m. in MSU room 218, filled the space with campus groups and interested students.
The purpose of the occasion was not only to see if any groups sparked student interest, but also to allow students to engage with one another. The fair had something for every student to find of interest.
“I think the information was presented nicely, and it’s also just a nice way to socialize,” said Sydney, a KU student who attended the fair.
Clubs such as Ultimate Frisbee Club, Women’s Rugby, The National Alliance of Mental Illness (NAMI), Guitar Club, Psi-Chology Club and Lawn Roomba Club were in attendance and were eager to provide students with information.
“Ultimate Frisbee Club has lots of team building, you get to meet a lot of great people and it’s easy to get involved,” said team member Anthony Muniz.
The Paranormal Association of KU discussed how their meetings set them apart from other cliques at the event.
“It’s a safe space to explore the paranormal,” the club secretary, Eveyln, said. “Once a month we do investigations in Old Main.”
The Involvement Fair offered just a glimpse into the more than 200 organizations available to students on campus. For more information about KU’s clubs, visit the university’s Engage page.
