By The Keystone Newspaper Students get together to doodle and relax

On Sept. 17 at 11 a.m., KU’s Fine Art and Literary Magazine, Essence, set up tables on Sharadin’s patio to celebrate Doodle Day. The magazine’s members provided large pieces of paper, colored pencils, pens and crayons so students could take a moment to sketch. Members also taught students about how drawing relieves stress and improves focus and the retention of concepts.

“Doodle Day is about expressing your artistic self,” said President of Essence, Mazie Kuhn. “And that is what we as a club value and want to share with the Kutztown community: the events we host and the magazine.”
