On April 20, the College of Business will host its annual Entrepreneurship Week, a four-day event running through April 23. The program is open to the entire KU community including students, staff and external stakeholders.
Entrepreneurship Week will include a series of panels and workshops, with each day centered around a unique theme. There will also be guest speakers from different career paths to give insight and advice on how to build and scale potential businesses. Below is the planned schedule of events.
April 20: Innovation and Growth
The week begins with the “Technology and AI Panel,” (9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., MSU 218) which will explore how artificial intelligence is reshaping the entrepreneurial landscape. The “Innovation and Venture Growth Panel” (11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., MSU 218) will follow, focusing on strategies for launching and expanding business startups.Â
April 21: Student Startups Unleashed
The “Student Entrepreneurs Panel” (11 a.m. to 12 p.m., de Francesco 201) will highlight student founders as they share their experiences and lessons learned with their peers.Â
April 22: Introduction to QuickBooks
A workshop geared towards entrepreneurs seeking better control of their finances by covering the fundamentals of the QuickBooks program. (10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Location TBD).
April 23: Building Communities Through Entrepreneurship
Highlights the“Women Entrepreneurs Panel” (10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., MSU 218) which aims to showcase accomplished women leaders and founders within the entrepreneurial world, as well as the “Societal Impact Panel” (12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., MSU 218) which brings together leaders pushing for change and communal growth in the sphere. There will also be a workshop detailing how to build a personal brand on LinkedIn (5 p.m. to 6 p.m., hosted virtually).
