Will advance to the NCAA Division II semi-finals

On Saturday, Nov. 15, at Andre Reed Stadium, KU’s women’s field hockey team set a program record for most wins in a season. Celebrating a 20-win season after defeating Assumption University’s Greyhounds 2-0 in the quarterfinals, they are set to advance to the NCAA Division II semi-finals.
During the match, the Golden Bears also reached the 100-goal mark for the first time in program history.
Senior Captain, Grace Harrold, was crowned “Top Dog” of the game after having one assist and an astonishing defensive performance.
Coming off an 18-0 regular season win, KU’s field hockey head coach, Marci Scheuing, was named the 2025 PSAC coach of the year. Scheuing coached her team for the NCAA semifinals for the third consecutive year in 2025.
As the regular season wraps up, several players on the dominant field hockey team earned postseason honors. Jessica Traynor, Marissa Rice, Olivia Kirkpatrick and Erin Gonzalez were named to the All-PSAC First Team. Grace Harrold was selected to the All-PSAC Second Team, while Taylor Vaccard and Tess Adolf were chosen for the All-PSAC Third Team.
Erin Gonzalez was also named one of the PSAC Athletes of the Year, Olivia Kirkpatrick was selected as one of the PSAC Defensive Athletes of the Year, and Tess Adolf was recognized as one of the PSAC Freshmen of the Year.
The No. 2 seed Golden Bears punched their ticket to the NCAA Division II final four and will face No. 3 seed Shippensburg University Friday, Nov. 21, at 2 p.m. at Steph Pettit Stadium in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania.
