KU students will explore networking and learning opportunities in the College of Business

From April 21 to April 25, the KU College of Business, the KU Small Business Development Center (SBDC), and the Entrepreneurial Leadership Center (ELC) will present Entrepreneurship Week. This week-long event will feature a variety of panels, workshops, and presentations, all with the shared goal of fostering entrepreneurial spirit.
Each individual event will require participants to register in advance through the Entrepreneurship Week webpage. All events are free and open to the public.
On Monday, April 21, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. in McFarland Student Union (MSU) 218, an Entrepreneurs Luncheon Panel on A.I. will be held. Panelists include Amresse Farrow, co-founder of the A.I.-based marketing agency Logical Leap; Doug Mancini, President of Liquid and industry veteran; and Corey Crapella, founder of CORE Coaching & Consulting.
On Tuesday, April 22, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. in MSU 116 (and via Zoom), a workshop titled “Creating Mega Prompts for ChatGPT: Unlocking the Power of AI Conversations” will be offered.
Between 12:00 and 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23, in MSU 218, a Women Entrepreneurs Luncheon Panel will be held. Panelists include Sara Inge, a seasoned CPA and business advisor; Kattina V. Barsik, an intellectual property attorney; Yudelkys Rodriguez, an immigration attorney and owner of a law firm in Allentown; and Valerie Deneen, a marketing strategist.
Also on Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., headshots will be offered outside the Cub Café in MSU. No registration is required for this event.
On Thursday, April 24, the Entrepreneurs Networking Luncheon will take place from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. in the Georgian Room of Old Main. This event provides an opportunity for business majors and minors to network and make valuable connections.
Also on Thursday, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Zoom, there will be a workshop entitled “Building and Fine-Tuning Custom GPT Models for Your Business.”
Finally, on Friday, April 25, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. in the Georgian Room of Old Main, a Luncheon Panel on Societal Impact & Sustainability will be presented. Panelists include Chris Flynn of Energy Transfer Services LLC; Jon Escueta, barbershop owner and literacy advocate; Murtaza Jaffer, co-owner of EBC Printing; and Renée Baran, Dean of Education at the Rodale Institute.
