Friends of Rachel’s annual Kindness Karnival is back and slated for Thursday, Feb. 27 in the McFarland Student Union (MSU) 218 and 223 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The positivity-focused group has consistently hosted the event with the focus of bringing students together. The Kindness Karnival will feature music from KU Radio (KUR), stuff-a-plush, food, t-shirts and more, as well as the opportunity for any clubs and organizations that host a table at the event.
Clubs and organizations interested in arranging a table for the event can find the RSVP here.
This year’s tagline is “It takes courage to be kind,” a message that is sure to resonate with many, and one that the group hopes students will represent when attending the event and beyond.
Friends of Rachel is an on-campus group founded in honor of Rachel Joy Scott, the first victim in the Columbine shooting. The group aims to spread kindness in her spirit. They host events like the Kindness Karnival with the goal of starting a “chain reaction,” of positivity amongst the KU community.
