By The Keystone Newspaper Golden Bears’ home game offers chance at winning a semester of in-state tuition

The Division of Student Affairs will be holding their annual Family Day at KU on Saturday, Sept. 26. Family day will be centered around a KU home football game where an immediate family member of a KU student will be able to attempt a 25-yard field goal. The related student will get a free semester of in-state tuition if their relative makes it. The campus store will be hosting a table and providing more information.
At 5 p.m., there will be a field hockey game at the Andre Reed stadium against American International.
Football and field hockey aren’t the only featured activities, as there are planetarium shows, located at Grim Science Building, at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.. KU’s planetarium features a full-dome digital projection with surround sound, as well as a full laser light system.
The MSU will be hosting an event called Family Fun Zone where guests will be able to play games and engage in other sorts of entertainment.
The Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center will be hosting their annual Heemet Fescht between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. featuring live music, crafts, cooking, activities for kids and more.
Family day mass will be held at the Saint Christopher Catholic Newman Center.
