KU’s study abroad fair is being held Thursday, Sept. 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in room MSU 218. Students will have the opportunity to explore study abroad options available to them, and attendees will also receive a KU Study Abroad drawstring bag.
This year’s offered programs include England, Japan, Greece, Germany and the Alps, Ireland, Spain and Belize. Specific programs include the Ireland Summer Program, Guided Research in London and a Spanish language immersion in Spain.
At the fair, tables from third-party organizations will also be in attendance, including Worldstrides, AIFS Abroad, Arcadia University, Temple University, ICADS and USAC. Despite being off campus, KU students are still able to attend trips. Depending on the specific trip, credits are often available to transfer to KU after the program.
The Office of Financial Aid will be hosting a table to discuss the cost of studying abroad. The Registrar’s Office will also be present to talk with students about the course approval process.
Other tables will include the Career Development Center and Getting Started with Study Abroad Advising where students can sign up for formal trip advisement sessions.
