For the sports world, 2016 will be a crazy year for the NFL, NBA, NHL, NCCA and MLB.
Chip Kelly will turn out to not be a good choice for the 49ers, or for any NFL team.
Kelly likes to employ a fast-paced offense that wears out opposing defenses. However, his offense has let his own defense tire quickly, which, consequently, leads to losses. Kelly’s record in his final season with the Philadelphia Eagles was 6-9.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are going to win their seventh Super Bowl ring in Super Bowl 51.
The Steelers had a good run in the 2015 season, but lost in the Divisional round to the Denver Broncos because of injuries. The Steelers have a strong case for success next year because of their offense, which is known as the Killer B’s.
The Killer B’s include quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, running back Le’Veon Bell and wide reciever Antonio Brown.
Antonio Brown led the offense with a total of 1,834 receiving yards. Roethlisberger threw 21 touchdowns this past season and had a total of 3,938 yards.
The Chicago Blackhawks will win another Stanley Cup.
The Blackhawks have a strong team again this year, which really shows that they are able to compete for the Stanley Cup once again.
As of right now, the Chicago Blackhawks are among the top three teams in the Western Conference standings. The top leader for this team is Patrick Kane who is the leading goal scorer for the Blackhawks. Jonathan Toews is right behind him in the amount of goals scored.
The Golden State Warriors will win the NBA Championship for the second straight year.
The Warriors are currently the best team in the Western Conference, with Stephen Curry being the NBA’s top scorer averaging 29.8 points per game.
Teammates Klay Thompson and Draymond Green are also crucial to the Warriors’ success, as is last years NBA Finals MVP Andre Iguodala.
The North Carolina Tar Heels will reach the final four in this year’s NCAA tournament.
Led by Head Coach Roy Williams, the Tar Heels are always a force to be reckoned with in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
The main point leader for this team is Brice Johnson, who averages around 16 points per game.
The Chicago Cubs will finally break their drought and bring a World Series trophy back to Wrigley Field.
In 2015, the Cubs went all the way to the National League Championship Series but lost to the New York Mets with a 4 game sweep.
The Cubs will be looking to win it all this year, representing a city which does not have a world series banner.
