The KU communication career club will be hosting their 2nd annual Donate to Date: Date Auction on May 4 in MSU 218 at 6 p.m. Participants can expect a fun and festive atmosphere as they relax, bid on friends, and blow off some steam before finals.

Upon the entry fee, contributors will receive “faux money” in order to place bids on contestants. After the auction, contestants and their prospective bidders will enjoy a pizza party provided by Mama’s Pizzeria.

President of the communication career club, Kimberly Koehler said, “This event is a great evening to allow you to relax during finals week with your friends and fellow students.” The donated items benefit local charities such as New Bethany Ministries and Greater Berks Food Bank, so be sure to bring any canned goods, old clothing and books.

After last year’s first annual “Donate to Date: Date Auction,” the club was able to donate 135 canned goods, 30 books, and several bags of used clothing.
