On Monday, Sept. 17, as with every Monday, a little-known meeting took place in the formal dining room, located behind the Cub Cafe in the McFardland Student Union Buidling (MSU). The group is ACE, or the Association of Campus events, and, as their name implies, they plan and fund the various events that take place on campus each semester. The events that have taken place so far this year, including Sailesh the Hypnotist and Grocery Bingo, have already proven successful and ACE promises that they have only just begun.
The main focus of the meeting, as with all ACE meetings, were immediate upcoming events, which include magician Joseph Tran on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. in MSU 218, and Homecoming comedian Ralphie May, of Last Comic Standing fame, to perform on Saturday, Oct. 13 at 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. in MSU 218. ACE has put a lot of work into these events and are promising a good time to all who attend.
Other discussion included the design for the new ACE T-shirt. If any student is interested in designing the new T-shirt, designs are due at the next ACE meeting, Monday, Sept. 24 at 4:30pm. Once the shirts are ordered, they may be purchased for five dollars.
Meetings are held every Monday at 4:30 p.m. in the MSU, in which any student is welcomed to attend. For more information, students can email ACE@kutztown.edu.
