Three sets were determined by a two-point difference, including the 32-30 marathon set that KU won.

“It was a tough loss, but we fought hard in every set. This is only the beginning, and I believe the energy we brought in the second set reflects who we are as a team,” said setter Alice Frank. “We will only grow from here.”

During the match, Frank was just shy with 11 assists and nine digs.

KU women’s volleyball will have its next match on Sept. 12 at 5 p.m. against Bowie State in the Keystone Area.
