KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Coming off a nationally-ranked and playoff season in 2015, the Kutztown University field hockey team has announced its incoming recruiting class for the 2016 season.
10 future student-athletes have committed to don the Maroon and Gold next season. It is the third recruiting class for KU head coach and 2015 PSAC Coach of the Year Marci Scheuing, who feels the success of the program has resulted in her most decorated recruiting class to date.
“We are excited and confident in the 10 girls we have brought in to help our program continue in a positive direction,” Scheuing said. “I feel the success of the program has attracted a very-high quality of athlete, with a lot of talent and goals scored amongst it. We have two Players of the Year and after losing our best goal-scorer, we focused on trying to recruit prolific scorers in both the midfield and forward positions.”
