Golden Bear Lawn Roomba Club hits campus

Mow and Behold

By Bethany McDonald

KU students have launched the Golden Bear Lawn Roomba Fan Club, centered on the university’s autonomous lawn mower, commonly known as “Lawn Roomba.” The club aims to provide a community for students who enjoy observing and find peace in Roomba’s operation.

The Golden Bear Lawn Roomba Fan Club is open to all students and emphasizes inclusivity, stating it opposes discrimination of any kind. Meetings and in-club events are held to foster relationships among members.

The club also plans to sell “Lawn Roomba” themed merchandise as part of its outreach to a growing audience of students and campus supporters.

Representatives of the organization say the club reflects a growing trend of student groups focused on niche campus interests and encourages participation from the broader university community.

Students can find up-to-date meeting information through the university’s student activities office. For more information, visit the clubs’ engage page
