The Office of University Relations released a follow-up statement, confirming a student death at Dixon Hall

On Wednesday, April 9 at around 1:00 p.m., the University Police and Pennsylvania State Police responded to an incident reported at Dixon Hall.
“University Police are investigating an incident reported at Dixon Hall. Individuals are asked to avoid the investigation area, including the Dixon Hall lobby and courtyard,” a statement from the KU Office of University Relations said.
Around 2:05 p.m., the Office of University Relations released a follow-up statement, confirming a student death at Dixon Hall.
“University Police and Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a student death reported at Dixon Hall. At this time, police believe no foul play is suspected, and that there is no danger to the KU campus community related to this incident. The student’s family has been notified,” the follow-up statement said.
Additionally, the statement said, “We will continue to keep the campus informed of any new developments. Students are asked to avoid the investigation area.”
