KU football team are now back-to-back PSAC champions

Kutztown University Football team wins the 2024 PSAC championship

Over this past weekend, KU’s football team won the 2024 PSAC championship by defeating California University of Pennsylvania. They beat the Vulcans 21-14 in the PSAC conference finals, giving the Golden Bears their third PSAC title in the last four seasons and winning their second straight, making them back-to-back PSAC champions.

KU’s running back, Jaedyn Stewart, was named “PSAC East Offensive Athlete of the Week,” finishing with 115 yards on 14 carries with one rushing touchdown and one receiving touchdown. This performance from KU’s junior crowned him as the PSAC game MVP.

The Bears roared all season, giving them an undefeated record of 11-0, making KU ranked #1 in super region one and securing them the first round of the NCAA DII division tournament. They have automatically advanced to the second round, and they will play the winner of Slippery Rock vs New Haven on Saturday, Nov. 30.

KU’s head coach of the football team, Jim Clements, was named “AFCA Division II Region 1 Coach of the Year,” making this his fourth Coach of the Year honor here at KU and fifth in his coaching career. 

Congratulations to the Golden Bears for winning their second PSAC championship in a row and the next stop is the NCAA DII championship.
