The remainder of Miley Cyrus’ tour in the U.S. has been rescheduled. The pop star tweeted on April 16 that she is suffering from a “severe allergic reaction to antibiotics.” Worried ticket-holders throughout the east coast anticipated notice of cancelations until the final announcement was made on Cyrus’ website.

Her first cancellation was in Charlotte, N.C. after she fell sick with the flu. A week later, her condition became more serious. “I’m so sorry but some things are out of my control,” Cyrus tweeted from a hospital in Kansas City, Mo.

Doctors ordered the “Adore You” singer a medical rest of 27 days. Original dates for the remainder of the tour were subsequently suspended until August. For those expecting to attend the Philadelphia show at the Wells Fargo Center, plan for a three-month wait until the rescheduled performance this summer on August 2.

Refunds and ticket re-sales are occurring throughout campus. One frustrated KU student, Jane Newton, says, “I can’t choose Miley over work. It was hard enough finding time to go in the first place.” Presumably directed towards disappointed fans like Newton, Miley tweeted on April 17, “Can’t quit crying. I want to go back on tour. I’m meant to be onstage performing for y’all…. not laying in a hospital bed.”

According to KU student Kelsey Flinchbaugh, “The whole concert is energetic and [Miley] never lets anyone sit down in their seats. If someone told me that they were thinking about selling their tickets, I would say they are making a big mistake. Anyone would have fun at her concert. Miley doesn’t disappoint.”
